Event Time and Date

Thursday, February 9 2017, 6:45 PM to 7:45 PM

One of the faculty advisers of BMSA, Dr. Salahuddin Malik, of the history department, here at the College of Brockport would like to open up a discussion about the misconstrued view/perceptions of Muslims all over the world, especially in America, and the climate of the political environment that has been weathered by the presidential election.

He will emphasize the reason behind this hatred/extremism, and give the history behind western treatment of the Arabs from the beginnings of the 20th century. Also, the Pakistanis and the Afghans loved us to no end but today, the majority of them hate us. Ironically the governments of Muslims countries are with us, but the people are not. Why? We should know that there is no terrorism in Indonesia and Malaysia, which have not been impacted by western encroachment. Further calling King/Crane commission after the first world war reported, that the Arabs loved America. Why do they hate us today?
